Privacy Policy
Last updated: 27 October 2026
This explains what we collect, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We do not sell your data to anyone.
What we collect
When you create an account
- Name, email address, phone number, password (stored hashed — we cannot read it).
- Account type, and for a business: company name, GSTIN and address.
- Profile photo or logo, if you upload one.
When you post a listing
- The title, description, price, photos and category fields you fill in.
- The location you choose — country, state, city, and the locality or pincode if you add one.
- The contact details you want shown on the ad.
When you send an enquiry
- Your name, phone number, email and message. You do not need an account to do this.
- These go to the seller of that listing so they can reply.
Automatically
- IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and the time of the visit.
- A session cookie that keeps you logged in, and a preference cookie or two.
Why we use it
| Purpose | What it needs |
|---|---|
| Running your account and your listings | Account and listing details |
| Passing an enquiry to the right seller | Enquiry details |
| Taking payment for ads and packages | Name, email, phone, order amount |
| Showing listings near you | The location on the listing |
| Spotting fraud and abuse | IP address, activity logs |
| Replying to you | What you send us through the contact form |
Who else sees it
We share only what each of these needs to do its job:
- Other users. What you put on a public listing or profile is public, including the contact details you chose to show. Your email and password never are.
- The seller you enquired with. They get your enquiry and the contact details you gave.
- PayU, our payment gateway, which needs your name, email, phone and the amount to process a payment. Your card and bank details are entered on their page — they never reach us.
- Our hosting and email providers, who process data on our instructions.
- Authorities, where the law requires it or to investigate fraud.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not rent out your email or phone number.
Payment details
We never see, handle or store your card number, CVV, UPI PIN or net banking password. Those are entered on PayU's own secure page. We keep only the order reference, the amount and whether it succeeded.
Cookies
We use cookies for two things:
- Keeping you logged in — without this the site cannot work.
- Remembering preferences such as whether you collapsed the sidebar.
If the site owner has added an analytics or advertising tag, those providers may set their own cookies. You can block cookies in your browser, but you will not be able to stay signed in.
How long we keep it
| Data | Kept for |
|---|---|
| Account details | While the account is open |
| Listings | While live, then archived; deleted listings go within 30 days |
| Enquiries | Up to 24 months, so sellers can look back at a lead |
| Payment and invoice records | As long as tax law requires |
| Server logs | Up to 12 months |
Your rights
Write to support@doraspot.com and you can:
- get a copy of the data we hold about you;
- have anything wrong corrected — most of it you can edit yourself in your profile;
- have your account and data deleted, except what we must keep by law;
- object to a particular use of your data, or withdraw consent you gave earlier.
We reply within 30 days. We may ask you to confirm who you are before acting on a request.
Security
Passwords are hashed, payments are handled off-site by a regulated gateway, and access to the admin panel is restricted. No system is perfectly secure — if a breach affects you, we will tell you and the relevant authority as the law requires.
Children
The site is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has given us data, tell us and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. A material change will be notified on the site.
